Our district’s Equity Council Committee (ECC) is accepting nominations for the 2024 PG Peeples Equity Champion Award. This annual honor, which was established two years ago, goes to a Lexington community member who advocates for equitable opportunities for students and families and has exhibited outstanding dedication and service to our Fayette County Public Schools community.
The award is named for Porter “PG” Peeples, a founding member of the ECC, who has served Lexington as a civil servant and pillar of the community for over 50 years. The ECC is a standing committee of the Fayette County Board of Education.
Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 19, and this year’s winner will be announced Dec. 3.
