FCEA Awards Scholarships to Two Employees

The Fayette County Education Association (FCEA) awarded two $500 scholarships during American Education Week. The 2023 recipients were Erika Pennington, an English teacher in the Freshman Academy at Frederick Douglass High School who is pursuing National Board Certification; and Hillary McWhorter, formerly of Glendover Elementary, who is on leave from Fayette County Public Schools while working at the Kentucky Department of Education and pursuing Rank 1.
