Dunbar Boys Win 11th Region Tennis Title

The Paul Laurence Dunbar boys’ tennis team defeated Lexington Catholic 3-1 for the 11th Region tournament championship. On the girls’ side, Henry Clay High was the region’s runner-up after falling to LexCath 3-2 in the finals. 

In the singles competition, Dunbar freshman Evan Fomby won the boys’ title in a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Lafayette junior Charlie Mooney. 

Dunbar’s Britt Chandler was named 11th Region Coach of the Year, and Henry Clay player Max Hixson received the USTA Senior Sportsmanship Award.
