The Kentucky American Water District Science Fair, hosted by Fayette County Public Schools, is a countywide competition open to all students in grades 4 through 12 who advance from their school's local contest. This year’s event is Saturday, Feb. 7, at host Frederick Douglass High School. Stop by to support our competitors and check out the all-ages, family-friendly Discovery Zone!
- 8 a.m. -- Student registration and set-up (gym)
- 9 a.m. -- Start of judging
- 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Discovery Zone (main hallways)
- 3 p.m. -- Awards ceremony (gym)
Note: If FCPS cancels weekend activities because of the ongoing wintry weather conditions, the science fair unfortunately cannot be rescheduled because of the upcoming regional competition.
