Board Buzz: Highlights of the Nov. 24 Action Meeting

At Monday night's regular meeting of the Fayette County Board of Education, Assistant Superintendent Bill Bradford shared highlights of the 2024-25 Kentucky Summative Assessments and progress throughout FCPS. Among the key points: Our district continues to outperform the state at all levels, and three-quarters of our schools achieved medium, high, or very high ratings. Additionally, two out of three schools posted increases in overall scores, and graduation rates continued to rise.

"These are truly remarkable results, and it has a ripple effect. These are numbers that businesses and potential employers look at," said board Chair Tyler Murphy. "This is indeed a point of celebration and a point of pride."

The Board Meeting Buzz also includes a video of Lafayette High's jazz ensemble, a video salute to the Kids' Champion for November, a report on the KC7 Foundation as a valued community partner, and updates on pending financial audits.
