2026-27 Meal Assistance Application Now Open

2026-27 Meal Assistance Application Now Open

Families must reapply each year for free/reduced student meals in Fayette County Public Schools, and the Meals Assistance Application for 2026-27 opens Monday, July 27. Visit FCPS.net/meals for the details and instructions. Note: Eligibility depends on household income, and students who don’t qualify will pay full price for breakfast and lunch.

Some students will be automatically approved for meals assistance through direct certification (SNAP, KTAP, certain Medicaid programs, or foster care). Households will receive these notification letters in the mail. Students listed on these letters do NOT need to complete the Meal Assistance Application or the Educational Benefits Form; please read the letter carefully for next steps.

Note: All students attending a school under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) automatically receive meals at no cost. However, it is still important for those families to complete an Educational Benefits Form, which could lead to extra funding and resources for their child’s school.
