Digital Citizenship

Because of the Broadband Data Communication Act and FCPS board policy 08.2323, Internet Safety/Digital Citizenship must be taught to all students in grades K-12. Each year, schools are required to submit a plan to the district that provides information on the topics and lessons in Digital Citizenship as well as specifics on how this content will be delivered. The district and school-level personnel take this responsibility seriously. 

FCPS knows that educators are only one piece of the Digital Citizenship puzzle when it comes to equipping our students with the skills necessary to thrive in the future. We also need our families and the larger community working with us to discuss and reinforce this important information.
