International Baccalaureate

Through inquiry, research, and problem solving, the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum seeks to develop in students the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills they need to live in a rapidly globalizing world. The Tates Creek IB programme is one of the most rigorous and relevant College Prep programs available to high school students in Fayette County. To offer IB programming, the school must apply for candidacy and comply with the governances of the IB organization. IB offers programming for students ages 3 to 19, but only exams taken in the junior and senior year of high school can qualify as college equivalents.
