Attention: FCPS is not accepting non-resident student applications for the 2024-25 school year.
Fayette County Public Schools accepts applications for enrollment of K-12 non-resident students only in schools that have the capacity to serve additional students. Consideration for enrollment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to capacity limits and a review of documentation from the student’s previous school.
Instructions
Complete the Non-Resident Student Request Form*, and upload these documents from the previous academic year:
- Attendance report
- Grades report
- Behavior report
The Pupil Personnel staff reviews application packets and notifies families by email of approval or denial prior to the first day of school. We do not process incomplete applications.
If approved, we determine school placement based on grade-level request. The parent/guardian should accept or decline the offer via email by the stated deadline. Upon acceptance, we direct the family to complete online registration and to follow up with the school’s registrar for enrollment on the first day of classes.
Note:
* The application window is not currently open.
The parent/guardian is responsible for providing adequate and timely transportation for non-resident students.
Student-athletes are subject to KHSAA regulations and should contact the FCPS athletics director, Robbie Sayre, to review their eligibility status.
