Foreign Exchange Students

Attention: FCPS is not accepting foreign exchange students for the 2024-25 school year.

Fayette County Public Schools accepts foreign exchange students who meet our criteria for admission. Among the criteria, the students:

• Must be proficient in English;
• Must be younger than 18;
• Must not have graduated from high school.

An exchange student may only be enrolled here for no less than one semester or no more than two semesters. Students must be formally placed with their host family before the district agrees to accept them. Acceptance also depends on space availability in the schools.
