Comedic Monologue Options:
Dramatic Monologue Options:
On-Demand Cold Reading Scene Work:
Students will be provided a 2- or 3-person content-less, open scene that they have not read. Students will have 5 minutes to read, think, and explore the piece physically and vocally. Students will establish the given circumstances for the scene with their partner. Where are they? What is their relationship? What is their objective (what they want)? And how are they going to get it (their tactic)? Everyone will do two scenes with different people. Students will then perform the piece (using the script, not memorized).
On-Demand Group Improvisations:
Students will be given a video prompt of a group improvisation with 3–5 people. They will have 20 seconds to think about what they will do individually, and then they will perform the piece for video recording.
GT resource teachers will use the Theatre Submission Template - bit.ly/gttheatre-hs (HS) for submissions.
