Visual Art Requirements, Grades 3-7

Art Portfolio (submitted digitally): Please showcase work that you have completed within the past year. Also, include a variety of subject matter. Examples include, but are not limited to, portraits/faces, animals, architecture, still life, works from imagination, nature scenes, etc.

• Suggested media and subject matter 

Portfolios must include a total of 5 to 7 art pieces:

• Required: Landscape or Cityscape

• Required: Eye

• 3 to 5 pieces selected from the visual art assignment menu

Do not copy or use any other artist’s work. All work submitted must be your own original work, and may not be works created in art camps or outside of school workshops.

On-Demand Still Life: Students will complete an on-demand graphite pencil drawing of a still life. A total of 45 minutes will be allotted to complete this drawing at each student’s school. Paper and #2 wooden pencils will be provided.
