Aspiring Principals Program

The Office of Human Resources offers an opportunity to reimagine what is possible for FCPS employees. Using federal American Rescue Plan funds for workforce development, we offer an Aspiring Principals Program for a limited number of participants.

This program:

  • Develops a foundation of skills needed for school- and district-level leadership roles
  • Builds capacity from within by strengthening the skill set of our current leaders
  • Increases the number of certified FCPS leaders interested in pursuing principal positions
  • Diversifies our workforce to reflect the students we serve in Fayette County Public Schools
  • Includes shadowing and networking opportunities
  • Provides additional strategies for FCPS  leaders to implement immediately

Candidates must:

  • Express interest in being a head principal
  • Hold a current administrative certification and pass the School Leaders Licensure Assessment
