The Fayette County Preschool Center at 465 Springhill Drive offers three state-funded preschool classrooms. Sessions run from 7 to 9:50 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Bus transportation is provided for children in the center's districted area.
The preschool center is also our centralized location for all developmental screenings and Special Education ARC (Admission & Release Committee) meetings for children initially entering our countywide program. The center collaborates with Head Start and First Steps to transition children into preschool. Its staff includes speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, Special Education preschool specialists, achievement and compliance coaches, and our district’s audiologist.
If you have concerns about your child’s development, please call (859) 422-0292 to schedule a screening.
