The following community resources are provided for your convenience. This is not an exhaustive list, and we will add new information as it becomes available. All details are subject to change. Nathaniel Mission or (859) 255-0062 -- at 1109 Versailles Road, Suite 400; serving breakfast at 9 a.m. and lunch at noon, with water and coffee available all day
Northeast Christian Church Food Pantry -- at 990 Star Shoot Parkway; follow the signs to the West Wing entrance; open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon with dairy, breads, meats, fresh vegetables/fruits and non-perishable foods, plus limited hygiene products. The Salvation Army or (859) 252-7706 -- at 736 W. Main St. facing the intersection of Newtown Pike; food assistance for Fayette County residents six times a year; open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday
Sisters Road to Freedom or (859) 536-7677 -- at 1412 N. Broadway St. Suite 206; with organic food, clothing, household items, baby products; open 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays
Community and Resident Services, (859) 300-5300 on Mondays; assistance for rent, mortgage, gas, and electric once every three years
Kentucky American Water's H2O Help to Others or (859) 233-4600 -- Qualifying customers may receive one grant per calendar year of maximum $250, while funds last. Exceptions may be made in extreme situations.
Centenary Church's Love Fund, (859) 269-2800 at 10 a.m. on first Monday of the month -- assistance once a year
Nathaniel Mission or (859) 255-0062 -- Clothing closet is open 10 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 1:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Limit: three items daily and one pair of shoes monthly
Calvary Baptist Church -- Clothed By Grace, a small room in the Recreational Outreach Center (ROC), is open 5 to 7 p.m. on the first and third Mondays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays. Appointments are required, (859) 232-8955.
Central Christian Church, with Christ Church Cathedral -- The Community Closet in the Watkins Building is open 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays; closed in bad weather and on holiday weekends. Two bus passes provided.
Grace Baptist Church -- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays
Lexington Rescue Mission -- help with housing issues, clothing vouchers to Goodwill, referrals to Faith Pharmacy, appointments for God’s Pantry; plus, basic supplies including hygiene products, socks, underwear, backpacks, sleeping bags, blankets, tents, and household supplies. Call for an appointment, (859) 381-9600. Walk-in hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Arbor Youth Services or (859) 254-2501 -- Emergency shelter for children ages 0-17 is open 24/7. Overnight shelter for 18- to 24-year-olds is open from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
