Kids' Champions

The FCPS Kids’ Champion program, sponsored by Forcht Bank, recognizes district and school staff members who go above and beyond to advocate for student needs, support development, and foster a positive environment where all students can thrive.

Nominees should demonstrate these five key traits:

• Innovation
• Advocacy
• Empathy
• Knowledge
• Positive Attitude

Students, families, and staff can nominate FCPS employees who display these qualities. A committee reviews the submissions, the superintendent surprises each month's winner, and that outstanding individual is recognized at the school board's regular action meeting as a Kids’ Champion. 

Forcht Bank provides a $100 award for each winner September through April and $1,000 in May for the school year's overall champion.
