State Benefits
Fayette County Public Schools provides benefits for regular, full-time employees and their families. Open enrollment takes place each fall for the following calendar year.
State benefits are governed through the Department for Employee Insurance, which includes an Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plan (multiple plan choices, with a generous employer-paid portion) or an incentive for waiving medical coverage (HRA).
State benefits choices also include dental and/or vision coverage, and healthcare and adult/dependent pre-tax flexible spending accounts.
- Note: Houchens Insurance Group, a voluntary/optional benefits vendor, offers dental and vision plans through Delta. Don’t sign up for theirs AND the Anthem state plans.
Additionally, benefit-eligible employees receive $20,000 of free life insurance with buy-up options and dependent life plan options.
