Voluntary Benefits

Fayette County Public Schools offers a suite of voluntary benefits for regular, full-time employees and their families. We partner with multiple vendors to assure the best plan options and premium prices for our employees. Open enrollment for voluntary benefits takes place each fall for the following calendar year. 

Voluntary benefits include short-term disability, legal protection and legal aid, cancer policies, critical care insurance, supplemental life insurance, long-term care policies, pet insurance, supplemental medical policies, and emergency air travel insurance. There are also Delta Dental and Delta Vison plan options.

During the enrollment window, FCPS requires you to meet with representatives from American Fidelity and Houchens Insurance Group even if you have no interest in their products.

Additionally, because all our employees are valued for their essential role in the overall accomplishments of the school district's major goals and objectives, Fayette County Public Schools provides free term life insurance with buy-up options.
