I grew up in Tennessee, and went to Lee University in Cleveland, TN to receive my bachelor's degree in Early Education. I met my husband in college, and we moved to Lexington, where he was born and raised. I went to Georgetown College to receive a Master's Degree with an emphasis in literacy. I also recieved my National Board Certification in 2009 in the area of Early/Middle Childhood Literacy. In 2012, I had the privilege to train as a Reading Recovery teacher. I have 3 little girls who keep me busy, and a crazy Goldendoodle named Stash. I love to read, travel, drink coffee and spend time with friends and family.
