I am in my third year as a Math Interventionist here at Coventry Oak Elementary. I possess a Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Both degrees are in the field of Elementary Education. This is my 31^st year in Education.

Prior to coming to COE, my teaching experience consisted of 9 years as a kindergarten teacher, 3 years as a first grade teacher, 6 years as a one-on-one educational therapist for students in kindergarten through 6^th grade, and 10 years as a 7^th grade pre-algebra teacher. Teaching students strategies and seeing their eyes light up when it all makes sense brings me a lot of joy.

My husband and I have been married 29 years and we have two grown children, Mark and Kristen. Mark lives in Lexington and works for a software company. Kristen just moved to the state of Washington to attend Massage Therapy School.

Oil painting is my favorite thing to do when I have some free time. I oil paint at Plymale Art Gallery in Victorian Square during the summer months. In addition to oil painting, I enjoy walking, scrapbooking, putting puzzles together, and spending time with family and friends.
