Who am I?

I am Brittany Miracle, and I am so excited to join the Gardens Springs staff this year as a second-grade teacher. 

I am married, and I have two dogs that I love to play with and go on walks with. When I am not at school, I like to work on our home renovation projects, watch movies in my pajamas, and ride my bike. ​

The rest of my family lives in Maryland, and I enjoy taking trips to spend time with them. 

Where did I come from?

I grew up in Tennessee, but moved to Lexington with my husband eight years ago. I have spent those eight years working in Fayette County Public Schools. I began my career here at Picadome Elementary, where I was a paraeducator for two years. After that I worked at Russell Cave Elementary teaching second grade for five years and third grade for one year. Now I am excited to join the staff at Garden Springs Elementary! 

Education

I went to college at Lincoln Memorial University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since then I have earned my master's in Teacher Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands.​

Why teaching?

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I remember. I love helping kids be successful and learn things they never thought they could! 

I believe that all of my students can learn and show growth. I can’t wait to guide them as they try new things, work through new challenges, demonstrate teamwork, and build relationships. It is going to be an exciting year in second grade!​
