I’m Ruth Ann Layne, a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky. I grew up in Central Kentucky on an Angus farm where I spent my summers showing cattle and hogs. Being the daughter of two former teachers of agriculture, I instantly felt comfortable in the classroom and chose to pursue the same career as my parents. I am so happy to start my first year of teaching as the middle school agriculture teacher for Winburn and Leestwon Middle Schools.

 Alongside my love for teaching, I also enjoy spending time hiking, drinking coffee with great friends, and volunteering at Southland Christian Church in the youth ministry. I will soon be marrying my best friend, Logan Layne, in September of 2018 and starting our new life together in Hamburg. I look forward to the year ahead and hope I get to meet you soon!
