We have several types of academic team competitions. Our largest teams are for quiz bowls. The varsity team consists of eighth and seventh graders. The junior varsity consists of all three grades 6 through 8. JV players are always welcome at varsity tournaments, too. The sixth graders can be a part of the Sixth Grade Showcase.
The Future Problem Solving Team is directed by Sangeeta Kadambi. Teams may also compete in the Governor’s Cup and various written competitions. Anyone who remains committed to study and values of our team is welcome to participate in most areas.
The academic team is really part of an academic community that includes not only players, but families, coaches, teaches, administrators, and academic team supporters. It is only through the cooperative and collective work of all these individuals that we are able to ensure our continued success as a nationally competitive and premier program. We fund our program annually through donations, dues, and fundraisers. Entry fees not covered by fundraisers will be at the cost of the individual participants and teams. Family transportation must be provided to and from events.
