    The AOK Club will be meeting in room 133 today after school until 4:15. Hot 102.5 will be visiting to discuss the Prom Dress Drive and Valentine's for Veterans event. All are welcome to attend.


    Lafayette Theatre will open Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend.  We will have 2 school shows during A2 and A4 on Friday the 24th. Public shows are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students and seniors on:

    Thursday @ 7:00

    Friday @ 7:00

    Saturday @ 2 and 6

    Sunday @ 2


    The Bass Fishing Team will meet today immediately after school in room 109.


    Are you interested in playing Ultimate frisbee? The Ultimate frisbee club is holding an informational meeting today after school in Room 250. No previous experience is necessary, all are welcome!

    Lafayette Softball Team is having a Texas Roadhouse Pancake Breakfast this Saturday from 8am-10am at the Beaumont Location. Tickets $5 at the door or available from our Softball Students.


    On January 31st at 10 am, we are proud to welcome University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto for a visit and presentation to Lafayette Juniors, Seniors, and Teachers.  Location TBD.  Sign up through Eventbrite.


    Would you like to be part of the welcome team for incoming freshmen? If so, Ms. Chastain is accepting LEGIT applications until Friday, January 31st. Applications can be found on the bulletin board outside the YSC (room 116). Returning LEGIT leaders MUST complete a new application.  


    AP NIGHT 2020      On Monday evening, January 27th, an informational meeting will be held for parents and their students who are planning to take any Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Credit course in 2020-2021.  A representative from each AP and Dual Credit course will be present to provide information and to answer any questions.  The first session will begin at 6:00 pm.  Please follow the schedule at the following link AP Night 2020 and on Lafayette’s website.  School maps will be available at the help desk in the front foyer. 


    Science and Snacks Workshops available during the spring semester. Speakers include pharmacy professors, entomology professors, Local biotechnology businesses, and cancer research. The first session is on January 27th after school in the library. See Mrs. Sumner in room 268 for details or Mrs. Schoff in the library.


    The next Alive @ 25 classes will be held at Lafayette on January 28th and February 26th  from 4:30 – 8:30. Sign-up online.

    BEZOS SCHOLARS PROGRAM: The Bezos Scholars Program is a year-long leadership program that amplifies youth voice and action Engage with global leaders on an all-expenses paid trip to the Aspen Ideas Festival. Juniors can apply to become a Bezos Scholar  by January 31, 2020.

    The Third Annual Junior Achievement Miss Business educational workshop is a unique opportunity designed to help young women develop a successful business and professional career. The workshop is free to accepted applicants.
