Megan Norris

Megan Norris received her Master’s Degree in String Education at Texas Tech University and her Bachelors of Music in violin performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her primary teachers were Stephanie Arado, soloist Camilla Wicks, Bettina Mussumeli and Dr. John Gilbert. Previous positions include associate orchestra director at Tates Creek High School, orchestra director at Inman Middle School and Paris Elementary School in Paris, Tennessee and orchestra director at St. Mary Middle and High School in Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Norris has also taught at the University of Tennessee Martin, Bethel University, and Berea College.

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Norris has performed professionally in Jackson Symphony, the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, the Chautauqua Institute Orchestra, and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. She has had the pleasure of performing with Mark O’Connor, Itzhak Perlman, Amy Grant, Mannheim Steamrollers, and Kenny Logins.

Her family includes husband Dr. Ian Norris and children Molly and Gabriel.
