Fayette County FFA Alumni

  • The Fayette County FFA Alumni is basically Locust Trace’s version of a PTA (parent/teacher association). It is the organization through which families can get involved at Locust Trace and actively support the school. You might be wondering if you can be an FFA Alumni member if you were never a member of the FFA to begin with, and the answer is yes! This is your chance for parents/guardians to stay in tune with what is going on at school and to have opportunities to volunteer and help the programs grow. Many ask why we don’t just have a PTA instead; the answer can be found in the mission and values of the FFA Alumni:

    Mission

The mission of the National FFA Alumni Association is to secure the promise of FFA and agricultural education by creating an environment where people and communities can develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.

    Values

We value the integral nature of FFA and agricultural education. We value agriculture as an essential part of society. We value diversity in serving all populations. We value the impact of a teacher on a student's life. We value the impact and involvement of parents/guardians and communities on a student's life. We value the community's support of agricultural education teachers and programs.
There is a direct correlation between the mission and values of the FFA Alumni and our core mission and values at Locust Trace. We are built on a foundation of AgriScience and the best organization that could possibly support us is one that utilizes those same values.

    Thinking of joining?

Now, why should you join? This is your chance. Annual dues are only $20 for the 1st family member and $5 for each additional family member. These dues support a wide variety of activities such as the free meal served at open house and the scholarships we give out at the end of each year. What we offer each year varies such as scholarships to attend FFA Camp or event program support; however, you will always see the benefits with senior scholarships. Our most important investment is our students' futures. This is your chance to really invest in that.
