Meadowthorpe Family Resource Center Information

Since 1994, the Family Resource Center (FRC) has served two schools, Sandersville (formerly Linlee) and Meadowthorpe. The FRC provides a variety of programs and services to enhance student success. All children enrolled in these schools and their families can use the FRC.
Meadowthorpe: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Fridays split

The Meadowthorpe FRC Advisory Council meets five times a year during the school year to oversee services and programs. The Advisory Council is composed of parents, school staff, and community representatives. All meetings are open to the public- anyone may attend the meetings.

Family Resource Center Services Provided:
Limited Assistance with Basic Needs and Community Referrals
God's Pantry referrals, cleaning supplies, school supplies, eye exams, health and dental needs, GED programs, holiday programs, clothing, weekend backpack food, crisis needs
Family storytimes/family nights
Fun events that include activities like dinner, reading, fitness, and crafts
Family lunch days
Scheduled by grade level and special Grandparent lunches in the Fall
All in the family
Monthly support group for family members raising relatives' children
A variety of programs such as academic recognition, girls mentoring, after-school clubs, community service
Child care referrals
Pre-school, after-school, and summer programs
Training class for 5th grade students
8 week class for parents and 3 year olds (TOTS)
Assistance available for children with incarcerated parents
