Hello! I am Jeanene Jones, the Library Media Specialist at SCAPA! I taught 6th grade ELA for 18 years prior to becoming a librarian. This is my 19th year in education! I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from Kentucky State University in 2003. I obtained my Master of Arts degree and Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in 2005 and 2011. My B.A. is in Secondary English Education. My M.A. is in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction and my M.S. is in Library Science. I taught two years in Frankfort before moving to Lexington. I have been a part of the FCPS district since 2005. My husband also works for the school district and we have one son, Noah, who is a sophomore in high school.

I love all things Christmas, all things baking, and of course, all things books & reading!!! I am ecstatic to be a part of the SCAPA family as the Library Media Specialist! I look forward to working with all the students and teachers! It is my hope that we all see the SCAPA Library as an integral part of this school!
