Head coach

Mr. Payne joined the coaching staff in 2008 as assistant coach, and in 2011, led the junior varsity team to the district championship.  He became the head coach in 2012, and led the varsity team to their third district championship.  Under Mr. Payne's leadership, the team had undefeated seasons in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, winning four consecutive regular season district championships, as well the district playoff championship in 2012, 2016, and 2017.  Mr. Payne played fullback at Thomas More University, and is the varsity defensive coordinator.

Assistant coach

Mr. Railey joined the coaching staff in 2010.  Prior to coaching at EJH, Mr. Railey six years for the YMCA and Lexington Youth Soccer Conference.  In addition, he coached two years for youth football.  He coached a youth team to the Fairfax County (VA) Championship.  As the junior varsity coach, he has led the team to five district championships, including two undefeated seasons in 2016 and 2017.  Mr. Railey currently serves as the offensive coordinator for the varsity team.

Assistant coach

Mr. Pack joined the coaching staff in 2014.  As the junior varsity head coach, he has led the squad to three consecutive district championships, in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and two consecutive undefeated seasons in 2016 and 2017.  He is currently the junior varsity head coach and JV offensive coordinator.  Mr. Pack played football at Prestonsburg High School from 1993-1996, and was a four-year letterman.  He finished his career with a 34-15 win/loss record, and played in the Class A state championship in 1993.
