Mr. Spivey

Mr. Spivey is currently a second grade teacher at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary School. He has taught for 18 years, with the last 14 years being at ACE. Mr. Spivey has taught second grade for several years, but has also taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade at ACE. Prior to ACE, Mr. Spivey taught 4th and 5th grades at Dixie Magnet Elementary School. He earned his undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky. He went on to Georgetown College to obtain his master’s degree in elementary education. He recently received his Rank 1 in school administration from Georgetown College.  

Mr. Spivey is an active part of ACE. He currently serves on SBDM and has for the past several years. He is also a coach of the ACE Archery team and is a mentor teacher that typically hosts student teachers throughout the school year. In addition, Mr. Spivey participates on several standing and ad hoc committees. Mr. Spivey has a passion for his students, classroom and school. He loves to hear the stories that the kids bring to the classroom and prides himself on building relationships with his families. He feels blessed to work with the great teachers and staff at ACE as they are the “best in the business.”
