I grew up in Lexington and attended Fayette County schools. I went to James Lane Allen, Beaumont Middle Schools (it was a Junior High back then!), and Layfayette. After graduating from Layfayette I attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate and Georgetown College for my Masters. This is my 20th year with Fayette County Schools, my 14th year at Garden Springs. I have taught Special Education Resource every year. I am also certified to teach grades 5-8 Mathematics.
In addition to teaching, I love to spend time outside and traveling. Laying on the beach and hiking are two of my favorite activities to do outside. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
I live in Lexington with my husband, Gary, my daughter, Bailey (22), and my son, Reid (17). We also have a dog named JoJo. He's a black lab mix. He is definitely the most spoiled of all my family members.
I love teaching. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
