How to Apply for a Job with FCPS
Fayette County Public Schools invites you to join us in our mission to create a collaborative community that ensures all students achieve at high levels and graduate prepared to excel in a global society. To apply, please complete these steps.
1: Tap the “Start an application for employment” link.
2: Complete all the information, including any specific vacancies that interest you.
3: Click “FINISH AND SUBMIT.”
4. Background check -- Choose one:
- Certified: Applicants for certified positions should request an Administrative Office of the Courts background check (AOC).
- Classified: If you are applying for a classified hourly job or substitute teaching position, complete all steps on the application page, and immediately check your email for instructions on obtaining a background check covered by FCPS.
Send your AOC results to the FCPS application center. You will receive email confirmation once Human Resources receives the results and your application is complete.
You may update your application at any time to add additional desired vacancies.

Your application will not be viewed by hiring managers/principals until it is completed and the HR Department has your current criminal record report / background check on file (less than a year old).
