Born in Louisville and raised in Lexington, it all came full circle for me when I became a teacher here in the Fayette County Public Schools. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University and my Master of Arts in Education from the University of Kentucky. I began my teaching career here at Maxwell during the 4th year of the immersion program. Having been devoted to this program for years, I have watched hundreds of families, now including my own, experience this culturally diverse school with such unique opportunities. My husband and I feel so fortunate that our two boys are growing up in immersion and are excited to see how their bilingualism will open doors for them. My oldest son is in the immersion program at Bryan Station High School and my youngest is at Bryan Station Middle School in SIP as well. The older our boys get, the busier they keep us! We love supporting them in sports, church, and hobbies, and we love to travel whenever we can get some free time.
