Mrs. Reed is a native of Owensboro, Kentucky, but Lexington has been her home since moving here to attend University of Kentucky in 1994.  She taught English for nine years before joining the team as media specialist and technology resource teacher at Locust Trace.  Outside of school you might spot Mrs. Reed running with friends or biking around town with her husband and daughter.

Mrs. Reed is Locust Trace’s media specialist and technology resource teacher.  Her home base is the media center, but she also spends time working in the classrooms with students and teachers. Mrs. Reed collaborates with teachers to help students at Locust Trace grow into critical thinkers, effective researchers, and ethical users of information.  She is the go-to personal for all technology needs, helping students gain proficiency in our ever-changing technology-based environment.  Mrs. Reed also works to promote a culture of reading at Locust Trace by keeping the media center stocked with materials for pleasure reading and for research.
