Mr. Hunter Dean

Hi, I am Mr. Dean, the new Diesel Technology pathway teacher here at Eastside.  I decided to teach Diesel Technology because I have been in the same shoes as my students.  As a student who studied career and technical education, I appreciate the benefits this type of education provides.  I want my students to have the same (and more) opportunities I experienced.

I am eager to share my knowledge with others and am excited to be in a new position, district and add my contributions to an already excellent program.

I would like my students and their families to know my wife, Natalie, and I have a one year old son. I am an avid hunter and fisherman.  I enjoy watching baseball and football.  Go Cubs!

Best piece of advice: Never lose sight of your goals. Failure is a lesson learned and an opportunity to better yourself.

When I am alone I...: like to work on those time-consuming projects that would otherwise keep me from spending time with my family.

The best part of waking up is: getting an energy drink and some good sausage biscuits and gravy, and being better than I was yesterday.
