General Information for NTI Weather Days

Fayette County Public Schools will be using NTI weather days in place of severe weather closings or delays. You may read highlights of the plan.

During the winter months, Chromebooks will be sent home with students daily. When severe weather is forecast to impact our area, the district will notify all staff and families via email, phone call, text message, and social media when an NTI weather day, delay, or school closure will be used.

Maxwell students will use Google Classroom and/or Seesaw to complete lessons on an NTI weather day. Your student’s teacher will be sending home login information and an overview of the class resources.

During the NTI weather day, students will receive asynchronous instruction. Zoom links will be made available to families and teachers will have contact office hours from 8:30 am - 10:30 am. Please use the Zoom link to contact your child’s teacher during office hours.

General Procedures

Students should check Google Classroom and/or SeeSaw for the assignments for the day. Teachers will be online from 8:30-10:30 on these days on Zoom. Please contact your child's teacher for the link to the Zoom meeting or check Google Classroom for the specific links.
