NTI Weather Days Message from Principal Hale

Winburn Middle School’s Plan is as follows:

• Students should take Chromebooks, chargers and other resources home daily – especially when winter weather is forecast.
• On the day of the event, Winburn teachers will have the lessons for the day posted on CANVAS no later than 10:00 am.
• All lessons will be asynchronous meaning students will work on them independently, at their own pace. Teachers will indicate if students should complete assignments within blocks of time during the day.
• The lessons will not consist of new material with the only exception being permitted to classes taken for high school credit.
• Students will have up to 3 days after returning to school to complete assignments given on NTI days.
• Middle school office hours are from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm during a NTI day. Zoom links will be posted in CANVAS for each class. 
• Teachers may be contacted via email from 8:35 am to 4:25 pm during NTI days.
• The school may not be open during NTI days depending on travel conditions. Please check the district website, school website, and the school’s Facebook and Instagram pages for updates during NTI. Please reach out if you have questions or need clarification. Respectfully, Mike Hale, Principal
