Hello! My name is Brittany Slone, and I am the Gifted and Talented resource teacher for SCAPA Bluegrass and James Lane Allen Elementary. 

I am a native of Lexington and earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Creative Arts from UK. I completed my master's degree in Teacher Leadership and Gifted Education from Georgetown College. 

I have been teaching since 2007. I have taught in many different roles during those years, but my favorite role has been serving as a Gifted and Talented resource teacher, which I have been doing since 2016. 

In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, crochet, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy taking numerous pictures of, discussing, and showing off my dog, Pretzel!
