Mrs. Blake is the Speech-Language Pathologist, (SLP), at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary (and this year, will also be at Squires Elementary 2 days/week).  The 2020-21 school year is Mrs. Blake’s 18^th year working for Fayette County Public Schools, with 17 of those years at Athens/Athens-Chilesburg.  She completed her Bachelors of Health Sciences degree in the area of Communication Disorders at the University of Kentucky in 2001, and her Master of Arts in Education for Communication Disorders and Rank 1 from Eastern Kentucky University in 2003.  Mrs. Blake holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and has been awarded two ACE awards by ASHA for above and beyond Continuing Education.  Mrs. Blake currently serves as a teacher member for SBDM Council at ACE and has coached Cross Country with Mrs. Miner.  Mrs. Blake enjoys spending free time with her husband, Chris, and two children, Garrett and Addison.  She loves being an SLP and loves to work with the students at ACE!
