Mr. Steelman is entering his 13^th year in education. His professional career has been very diverse. Before becoming the Assistant Principal/PGES coach at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary he was the Assistant Principal at Mount Sterling Elementary in Mount Sterling, Ky.  He also held the positions as the Alternate Learning Center Teacher at Bowling Green High school, taught 7^th Grade Science and 8^th Grade Pre-AP Biology Teacher at South Warren Middle School in Bowling Green, KY, and served as the Science Department Chair and 7^th grade Science at Beaumont Middle School in Lexington, Kentucky. He also has also coached a variety of high school sports including five years of varsity football and baseball BGHS, five years at SWHS, and the last four years coaching baseball at the Sayre school in Lexington. Mr. Steelman’s wife is an Organic-Chemistry professor at the University of KY and they have two identical 3 year old boys.
