NTI / 2DL = Non-Traditional Instruction / Differentiated Distance Learning
-
Beginning with the 2020-21 school year, all secondary schools and programs (grades 6–12) are using Canvas as their learning management system (LMS) or online classroom space. Teachers will communicate information about class instruction and assignments through this platform. Students can access this space using their district email and password. Look for the link to Canvas in the “waffle” after students log in to their Google Drive. In addition, families can monitor their student’s progress using the Canvas Parent app for mobile devices
What is Canvas?
Designed specifically for K-12 teachers and students, Canvas is an easy-to-use, cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that connects all the digital tools and resources teachers use into one simple and secure on-line location.
How do students log on to Canvas?
Students use their FCPS email and password to log into their Canvas accounts. These are the same credentials as if they are logging onto a computer or Chromebook at school.
Can parents view their child's CANVAS course?
Yes, families can create an account and become an "observer" of their child's Canvas courses. Please visit district's Canvas resources webpage.
What if my child cannot see a particular course?
If the course is not appearing in Canvas, the teacher of that course has not published the course for posting on the website.
Can I log in as a parent/guardian?
