I am originally from Manning, South Carolina. Throughout high school I was very involved in my high school agricultural education program and FFA chapter.
After high school, I attended the University of Kentucky where I earned my bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education. I taught at Madison Central High School for two years and am very excited to start this new journey at Locust Trace Agriscience Center. I will be co-teaching the equine science program, specializing in the Level 1 classes.
I was able to meet my wife, Ruth Ann Layne, through FFA. We have two animals: a pug, Phoebe; and our cat, Bowman.
