Audition Tasks

  1. Performance: Students will prepare one song for performance and learn one song on-demand.

Required song -- Select one (1) from the list of suggested pieces. If you do not know which or how to select, we recommend "All Through the Night."

  1. On-Demand:
    • Proctor video will be provided at the audition.
    • Students will sing vocal exercises (warm-ups) throughout their range, moving through the low register first then up through the head voice.
    • Students will be asked to echo melodic and rhythmic patterns while watching the audition video.
    • On-Demand Song -- Students will be guided through a short video teaching a song along with vocal technique. Students will then be asked to perform the song as part of their audition.
