In the navigation menu, choose the details tab based on the current grade in school to learn more about the audition tasks and rubrics.

Students may audition in Dance, Drama, Music (Instrumental or Vocal), Visual Art, and Technical Theatre (high school only), and they can audition in more than one arts area! Note: Creativity as a Literary Arts Major is a SCAPA-specific opportunity.

All prepared and on-demand portions of the auditions are submitted on video by the gifted and talented resource teacher or arts teachers at the student’s school.

Placement in SCAPA at Bluegrass or SCAPA Lafayette

Students interested in SCAPA at Bluegrass or SCAPA Lafayette must audition in the fall in their chosen arts area(s) to be eligible for possible program placement the following school year. The audition result must yield gifted identification in the arts. Students currently identified as gifted must audition again for SCAPA consideration the next year.

In addition, the parent/guardian must complete an application during the district's magnet, gifted & talented, and specialized programs (MASP) application window
