What We Will Do

Develop the annual budget to reflect strategic priorities.
Ensure continuous improvement across all areas of the district.
Foster a healthy and positive culture among staff by implementing programs for employees focused on well-being, recognition, and celebration.
Create a welcoming environment with focus on providing excellent service to members of the public throughout the district, with implementation supported by protocols and employee training.
Enhance, develop, and communicate a consistent system of standard operating procedures across all departments.

How We Will Do It

Use established district priorities to inform the development of the annual budget.
Develop a way to identify expenditures according to strategic priority.
Create materials to help explain the budget process to the public.
Produce regular reports that detail spending on strategic priorities.
Provide professional development on continuous improvement and monitor implementation.
Adopt an annual planning cycle that aligns district initiatives with school-level routines and rhythms.
Support the work of school wellness committees.
Evaluate the employee experience with wellness support and augment current offerings.
Establish a culture that supports employee well-being and work-life balance.
Monitor participation in wellness programs.
Collect evaluations on wellness events and programs.
Create recognition programs that celebrate the contributions of employees throughout the district.
Collect evaluations after each event.
Implement the Team FCPS commitments consistently in schools and district-level departments, supported by professional development and monitoring.
Administer processes for the creation, review, and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Annually compare the performance of FCPS with other members of the Council of the Great City Schools on key operational measures to identify areas for improvement.
Review results of the certified compensation study, technology audit, human resources review, and external audit, determine implications for district operations, and develop plans to implement recommendations for improvement.
