We are excited about the upcoming school year and there will be plenty of opportunities for parents to volunteer within the school community. Fayette County has also updated it's policy to state that "any and all adults accompanying a school group while on a field trip must first undergo and pass the background checks required for all FCPS volunteers through the volunteer application system. This applies to listed chaperones, volunteers, and anyone who travels separately to join the group at the respective venue."
Please take 5 minutes to complete the application using the link below, volunteer eligibility is good for 4 years.
Application: Volunteer at Millcreek
EASY STEPS TO AN EXCUSED ABSENCE!!!
For an absence to be excused, it must be followed up with a written excuse within 3 days. FCPS Board Policy does not allow us to accept notes after this time and absences will remain unexcused. Remember, when you take your child to a doctor or dentist, get a note.

Students will need additional vaccinations before 2018-19 school year
Students' families are encouraged to schedule doctor visits as soon as possible because of new immunization requirements in Fayette County Public Schools covering Hepatitis A and MCV4 booster.
The first dose of Hepatitis A, which is required for all unvaccinated students regardless of age, should be received before Feb. 14 if possible. That puts the student on schedule to get the second dose in six months, prior to the start of the 2018-19 school year in mid-August.
Also, students will need to have the MCV4 booster when they turn 16.
Note that the state requires all students to bring in a new immunization certificate for the upcoming school year. Families can contact their physician or the health department for more information about the vaccines and certificates.
For other questions about health and wellness in FCPS, please contact coordinator Debbie Boian at (859) 381-3849.
Kindergarten registration is OPEN NOW for Online Registration (OLR) 2018-2019
