    LIFT | Lifting and Impacting Futures Today

    UK's Gatton College of Business and Economics, 550 S. Limestone St.

    On Saturday, March 23, FCPS Family University will partner with the Urban League of Lexington, the YMCA of Central Kentucky's Black Achievers Program, and community partners to host the annual Lifting & Impacting Futures Today Conference, a college and career readiness conference for pre-K through 12th-grade students and their parents. LIFT will provide support to families in navigating their children's education from cradle to career.

    Story Time with Cierra

    For 6-8 year-olds & their grown-ups
    Saturdays, March 9 & 23, and April 13 & 27, 10:30 am-noon

    This is a free, interactive and engaging story time where participants will listen to a book about overcoming life's obstacles and succeeding! Along with hearing a new story each session, students will enjoy a snack, engage in an activity based on the story, and receive a free copy* of the book each week!

    *The first 15 pre-registered families in attendance at each session will bring home a copy of the book.

    Led by Cierra Spaulding, founder of Masterpiece Creative Group and an educator who has served children across the state in various capacities for over ten years.

    The next Story Time with Cierra is this Saturday, March 9. Register for one date or all!

  •   Academic Challenge Teams      

    Your Child is Invited!!!

    All students, grades 2-5, are invited to develop their academic “muscles” in a challenging and fun competition designed to enhance their learning of the core curriculum taught in Fayette County Public Schools. Students will meet with their team regularly to practice to compete in the regional competition.  Students will be competing for academic awards, ribbons, medals, trophies, and scholarships for Kentucky colleges and universities!  Practices will be Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00.  There will be a short parent meeting on Tuesday, February 12th at 6 pm.

     

    Complete and return forms to school by February 10, 2019.

  • On Line Registration for the 2019-20 school  year will open at 9:00 am on January 15th.  This will be for Kindergarten students meeting the age criteria ( 5 on or before August 1, 2014) for the 2019-20 school year.

    In person registration dates and times are below:

    Feb 5- Feb 22  9am to 1 pm

    April 9- April 26  9 am to 1 pm

     

    Evening registration dates

    Feb 22 5 pm to 7 pm

    April 16 5pm to 7 pm

     

    To enroll just go to FCPS.net, click enrollments. Make sure to select Kindergarten for 19-20 school year.  You MUST enroll using a device other than your smartphone.

    For $1 each Friday, students are allowed to dress down, and the funds go to the following programs:
