Because the Kentucky Department of Education identified Mary Todd Elementary as a CSI school (in need of Comprehensive Support and Improvement), the authority granted under state law to the School-Based Decision Making Council was suspended and transferred to the superintendent. Mary Todd now has an Advisory Leadership Team.
Even though in 2018-19 Mary Todd was no longer among the state's lowest-performing 5 percent of elementaries and the CSI label was removed, the district is maintaining control until Mary Todd's three-year turnaround plan is complete to ensure continuation of additional support and resources.
