By definition:
College ready -- when a student has met the Council on Postsecondary Education's benchmarks on the ACT, or KYOTE in reading, mathematics, and English
Career ready -- when a student who has prepared in a Career and Technical Education major has reached the benchmarks on WorkKeys or ASVAB and KOSSA or has achieved an industry certification
We strive to provide all students with the essential skills and resources to successfully transition from high school to post-secondary environments. Among our services and coverage areas:
- College/career exploration, advisement, fairs, and info nights
- Freshman academies and orientation events
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) awareness and pathways
- Financial literacy
- Guest speakers bureau and Local Legends speaker series
- ACT prep class
- Assistance with FAFSA, admissions paperwork, and job applications
- College campus visits
- Business and industry visits
- Job shadowing and internships
