Shelley Decker is a first grade teacher at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary and has been at ACE since its doors opened. This school year will begin her 23^rd year and she has taught 1st-5^th grades. She loves them all, especially her first grade friends! Mrs. Decker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary School Counseling. She loves using her training to build relationships with her students and their families.  She believes that building relationships with students is essential to empowering kids to try hard things. 

When she isn’t teaching, Mrs. Decker loves to spend time with her husband and 2 sons, both ACE graduates, and her 4 cats! Go Eagles!
