Mrs. Jody Asher

Registrar

Mrs. Asher has been a Panther since 2008.  Prior to becoming the registrar, she worked as the school's data clerk.  All three of Mrs. Asher's children, Maddie, Reagan, and Tyler, are EJH graduates.  She also serves as the assistant dance team coach, and has been the staff advisor for the superintendent's student group at EJH.  Mrs. Asher is from Webster, IN.

Mrs. Laura Cote

Social worker

Mrs. Cote has been a Panther since 2018. She is a member of the Alpha Delta Mu soriety and the National Social Work Honor Society.  In addition, she is a certified social worker for Kentucky, and currently also serves Julius Marks Elementary School.  Mrs. Cote is from Fredonia, NY.

Mrs. Alice Davis

Guidance counselor

Mrs. Davis has been a Panther since 2004.  Prior to being one of the inaugural members of the EJH faculty, Mrs. Davis served as a guidance counselor at Crawford Middle School, as well as a school social worker, Family Youth and Resource Center Coordinator and law enforcement officer with the district.  Mrs. Davis retired from Hayes in 2020, but returned in 2022 on a part time basis.  Mrs. Davis is from Lexington, KY.

Mr. Alan Ford

Guidance counselor

Mr. Ford has been a Panther since 2004.  Prior to being one of the inaugural members of the EJH faculty, Mr. Ford served as the Youth Services Center coordinator at Bryan Station Middle School and worked at as the SAFE teacher at Tates Creek Elementary School.  His oldest daughter, Elliot, is an EJH class of 2017 graduate, and youngest daughter Tatum, is a part of the Class of 2019.  He is the school's Infinite Campus building coach, head golf team coach, and Student Foundations committee chairperson.  Mr. Ford is from Lexington, KY.

Ms. Timia Gardner

Guidance counselor

Ms. Gardner has been a Panther since 2020.  Previously, Ms. Gardner has experience in school systems in Kentucky, New Jersey, and Georgia.  She possesses an array of experiencew in the school setting, including a special education teacher, school social worker, behaviorist, and transition specialist.  In Fayette County, she has worked as a school social worker, Family Resource and Youth Services Center coordinator, home school liasion, and coordinator for the special education parent resource center.  Ms. Gardner is from Lexington, KY.

Ms. Jonna Hayden

Guidance counselor

Mrs. Hayden has been a Panther since 2013.  She was previously the Youth Services Center coordinator and guidance counselor at Leestown Middle School.  She also worked as a social worker in Chicago.  Mrs. Hayden's son Josh is a Class of 2015 EJH graduate.  She serves as the school's building assessment coordinator and the Staff Foundations chairperson.  Mrs. Hayden is from Hartford, KY.

Mrs. Leighann Lakes

School psychologist

Mrs. Lakes has been a Panther since 2016. Prior to joining EJH, she worked 13 years in southern Kentucky as a school psychologist. In addition to EJH, Mrs. Lakes serves as a school psychologist for Athens-Chilesburg Elementary. She is a member of the MTSS Behavior Committee and FCPS Crisis Response Team. Mrs. Lakes is from McKee, KY.

Mrs. Carla Mack

Youth Services Center coordinator 

Mrs. Mack has been a Panther since 2016.  Prior to joining EJH, she served as the Youth Services Center coordinator at the original Athens Elementary School and at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary school since its opening.  All three of her sons, Jack, Clif, and Langston, are EJH graduates.  She is the sponsor for the Legacy Equine Academy and is our community liaison.  In addition, she serves as our Public Relations committee chairperson.  In 2022, Mrs. Mack was awarded the Harry J. Cowherd Center of Excellence by the Cabinet for Families and Children for her tireless work with your Youth Services Center.  Mrs. Mack is from Lexington, KY.

Mrs. Jessica Moore

Guidance counselor

Mrs. Moore has been a Panther since 2016.  Prior to joining EJH, she worked as a psychologist for Comprehensive Care, then as a exceptional child educator in Woodford Co.  In 2016, she joined the ECE department at EJH, then was named the ECE counselor in 2020.  Mrs. Moore is from Louisville, KY.

Mrs. Sonal Patel

District mental health specialist

Mrs. Patel has been a Panther since 2020. She has worked with students of ages in diverse populations. Prior to joining EJH, Mrs. Patel was a High School Counselor at a virtual Title I public charter school catering to non-traditional students all over Georgia. In earlier years, she taught academic, social, and self-help skills to students ages 2-6 on the autism spectrum.   Mrs. Patel is from Bainbridge, GA.

Mr. Shawn Reaves

Staff wellness coordinator

Mr. Reaves has been a Panther since 2008.  Mr. Reaves is a clinical psychologist, and previously worked for state and local mental health agencies.  Mr. Reaves worked in the Safe Schools Office for Fayette Co. Public Schools, assisting schools to develop behavior systems and structures.  After joining EJ Hayes, Mr. Reaves served as the counselor for ECE students and led the school's WEB program.  Mr. Reaves retired in 2020, but returned in 2021 to assist with our COVID response plan and serve as our staff wellness coordinator.  Mr. Reaves is from Cincinnati, OH.
